It's the me, me generation!

So on to one of my least favourite subjects - me...

Launching this website has made me assemble all the bits and pieces I do, create, make, invent and promote. Above all else I rather enjoy "doing" stuff and as my significant other will testify I have a crack at almost anything to a greater or lesser success.

The objective of this website is primarily to remind me of what I do and maybe even one day focus on one thing to success! We can dream right?

First up it's for my digital art

Yes those aircraft will never fly but they look good and I love creating them (hint to self: do some going the other way! I am predominantly right handed and have noticed all my planes go the same way!). To me the creation of these planes is akin to Catnip to a cat - it has a lovely, calming influence and I often spend hours 'in the zone' creating goodness knows what aerodynamic laws I break but it's FUN!

That but not just that

I do a lot of other "stuff" on my digital canvas too which you will see in the galleries - other stuff like my "Haunted Pot Plants". Don't ask - just view those.

Starting out as a landscape painter with traditional oils and canvas gives me a want for creating lifelike if utterly none life-like creations. Those who paint in oils will testify that it's messy... or I am messy at any rate; so switching to iPad suits my orderly side - it's clean.

Graphic Design

I trained at Bournemouth & Poole College of Art & Design - in Graphic Design - so can always turn my hand to the more design side of creation as needed and this is most useful when it comes to something else I quite enjoy...

Website design

Although my day job is as Technical Director for Cirrus Design Studio Ltd I don't get to design many websites as I am all about the coding but designing a bespoke website such as my own here is most enjoyable. I use my own custom code and content manager system and have a few projects to show you in my design gallery. 

As a programmer my forte is creating custom software. I have no interest in out of the box development and WYSIWYG design is pretty dull but give me a blank screen, a server, a database and I can create almost anything.
