What does "chibi" mean?
Chibi (ちび) is a Japanese word that loosely translates as "short" or "little one." In manga and anime it refers to an instantly recognisable art style — characters and objects reimagined with oversized heads, stubby bodies and exaggeratedly cute proportions.
Our chibi classic aircraft give the great machines of aviation history that same playful treatment. Spitfires, Mustangs, Lancasters and more — every roundel, rivet and propeller lovingly drawn, then shrunk down, rounded off and given a smile.
